In 2006, in season five of Extreme Makeover, the ABC crew came to Manchester, New Hampshire. There they built the Voisine Family a house from the ground up. The Voisines had lost their home completely, due to major flooding in the area. Then, when they applied for a loan, they were denied. The Voisine family was running out of options, still paying a monthly mortgage on the property, plus rent, how were they going to make this work? Not a second too late, ABC contacted them and gave them the good news. Within a week of the ABC Extreme Makeover crew being there, the Voisine Family had a home again.

Now, the Marshall family of Lyme, New Hampshire will have a chance to get a home makeover. Jay and Elena Marshall have eight children. A few years ago they moved into what they thought was a wonderful home. After some time they realized some major problems, rotting wood, large amounts of mold, and carbon monoxide leaks. When they were going to put money into the home for repairs, their son Cameron was diagnosed with leukemia. Extreme Makeover producers knew of the Marshall family because of the Marshall’s support in a previous episode, working on a home in Athens, Vermont. So the producers decided to give back to the Marshalls.

The Marshall family will vacation in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida as Ty Pennington and the ABC crew move in to repair their home. Trumbull-Nelson Construction of Hanover, New Hampshire will be leading the rebuilding effort, and is seeking local support. The TV Program Extreme Makeover Home Edition airs Sunday evenings at 8:00 pm on WMUR TV-9 and other ABC-affiliated TV stations.
