The Balsams in Dixville Notch, NH features 1 double, and 2 T-bars. Ski and Snowboard lessons and rentals available. The Balsams alpine race course is set-up for regularly scheduled NASTAR races. The annual snowfall for Dixville Notch is 250 inches and the base elevation is one of the highest in the East. Called "one of the world's 12 poshest ski resorts" by SKI Magazine, The Balsams Wilderness is considered one of the top cross-country ski resorts in North America.
Getting There: To reach Balsams/Wilderness from Boston, take I-93 north to Exit 35, then Route 3 north to Colebrook, NH and then take Route 26 East to Dixville Notch. From I-91 take the St. Johnsbury, VT exit then Route 2 East to Lancaster, NH and Route 3 North to Colebrook, NH (as above).
