Experience the Wurst.... Bratwurst that is...authentic German style. All at the second annual "Best of the Wurst Festival" at the Inn at Danbury, Danbury NH. Alex, Bob and their wonderful family entertained us, along with The Alpiner Oompah Band.
The food began with a Sausage type appetizer (Landjager & Pfefferjager) served with German mustard. Great with Beer, and you had a whole page of imported German beer to choose from. Pale Beer to Dark Ales. 
Next a mouth watering marinated carrot & beet salad. The main entrees, your choice of Bratwurst served 6 different ways and/or Wiener Schnitzel with your choice of Warm German Potato Salad, Red Cabbage, Spaetzle or Sauerkraut were prepared to order. Dessert for us was a warm apple cake called Apfel Kuchen. It was superb. The food was enhanced with the Alphorns; sing a long, and the patrons participating in a bells version of Edelweiss. A lot of laughter and smiling was going on during this mid-day dinner.
I will tip my hat to the Graf Family and staff of the Inn at Danbury. Having spent time in Germany and Austria I can appreciate the authenticity of the food, music and atmosphere at the Inn. A little bit of Europe right here in New Hampshire!
We enjoyed ourselves immensely and would recommend this event or any event (or dinner) at the Inn at Danbury. Also, they have an Oktoberfest that is scheduled for September. It promises to be excellent as well.
