This list of White Mountain Four Thousand Footers is provided by the The Four Thousand Footer Club. The AMC (Appalchian Mountain Club) provides a similiar list of the states 4000 foot peaks. The Four Thousand Footer Club, however, was formed in 1957 to introduce hikers to some of the lesser-known sections of the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Today the Club recognizes three lists of peaks:
- White Mountain Four Thousand Footers
- New England Four Thousand Footers
- New England Hundred Highest Mountains
