In 1992 a new Minor League Baseball team was formed. They called themselves the New Haven Ravens. When the team was sold in 2003 the new owner, Drew Webber, moved the team from New Haven Connecticut to Manchester, New Hampshire. The team changed their name to the Fisher Cats and became the affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays.
The team began their career at their new location at the historical Gill Stadium. This stadium had been home to other minor league teams prior to the Fisher Cats. These teams included the Manchester Blue Sox from 1926-’30, the Manchester Giants from 1946-’47, and the Manchester Yankees from 1948-’49. After the first season the Fisher Cats Ballpark was built. Due to a partnership, the stadium was later renamed MerchantsAuto.com Stadium. The stadium is located in downtown Manchester and provides summer-long entertainment for the community.
There are many options to choose from if you're looking to enjoy the Fisher Cats’ schedule. The team offers everything from full and half season passes to single game tickets. There are opportunities for comfort seating in the premium boxes or traditional seating for the real game experience. And with general admission costing less than $10 for everyone there is no better way to spend a summer day.
