Ever since Don Orsillo was a little boy he dreamt of broadcasting for
the Boston Red Sox. Tune into Boston Red Sox games and witness - dreams do come true. Orsillo was born in Melrose, MA and spent his childhood years in Madison, New Hampshire where he attended John H. Fuller Elementary School. Orsillo attended Kennett Middle School in Conway before the family moved west. He graduated high school in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
Orsillo is sometimes called "Announcer Boy" - a moniker courtesy of former Red Sox pitcher Tim Wakefield. Orsillo and his color commentator, former Red Sox second baseman Jerry Remy, broadcast every NESN Boston Red Sox game. The duo have become international celebrities. The casual style of Orsillo and Remy have made them fan favorites from Toyko to the White Mountains.
During the 2009 MLB season Jerry Remy was out due to health problems. Orsillo worked with a number of sidekicks, including; Dennis Eckersley, Nick Cafardo, Sean Casey, Dave Roberts, Frank Viola and others.
